Who we are
Cairo Bank Uganda Limited was incorporated on 11th July 1994, originally as Cairo International Bank, owned by three Egyptian banks: Banque du Caire, Bank Misr and the National Bank of Egypt.
In 2019 the bank became a fully owned subsidiary of Banque du Caire, opening the way for expansion across Africa and entry into the COMESA market. Effective 1st September 2020 the bank rebranded to Cairo Bank Uganda Limited, with a new logo, new colours and a new brand promise: Growing with you.
Cairo Bank Uganda is a financial service provider licensed by the Bank of Uganda, with a deliberate focus on serving Small and Medium Enterprises.
